Hydraulic Sluice

The hydraulic sluice, sometimes called a velocity flume, moves chips by high pressure liquid medium using additional coolant beyond that necessary for machine operations.

This has been a traditional method of conveying metal chips in the presence of coolant and is best used in applications generating low volumes of fine chips such as grinding, or low density material such as aluminum.
